Hi, I am hypothyroid and have been taking Lugol's 5% Iodine for 3 months and worked up to 7 drops each morning when I began to notice hives on my legs. At first I thought they were mosquito bites, but no, it become obvious they weren't. They are very itchy and I stopped Iodine completely when I realized what was going on. Today is the seventh day with no Iodine but I am still getting 1 or 2 new hives each day. I feel like I have no energy without the iodine- so am at a loss about what to do? I am taking the companion supps but wasn't doing salt loading or vit C until the rash started. (That was dumb, I know, and I am taking both now.) I have been taking Epsom Salt baths but have no real relief from the itchiness. Would switching to Iodoral help? Any ideas at all? Thanks in advance.
