And I think you are right that the calcium ascorbate would generally be fine but for whatever reason they advice against it for whooping cough.

We have the "right" vitamin c now which is sodium ascorbate but no matter what we give her, it doesn't stay down, so that's the main issue right now.

Whooping cough needs to die! :)
