Hi SillyLily! I know this is an old post, but I wanted to check in on you to see if you were doing any better.

I can relate to your Depression symptoms - EVERYTHING you describe. I am currently battling a fungal overgrowth with the GAPS diet and it has been helping a lot!! I suggest looking into it. I had tried paleo and keto before trying GAPS and I have had the most success with GAPS in the 3 years I have been ill.

I originally became ill mainly due to a toxic mold exposure in an apartment I was living in. The landlords had painted over the visible water damage so I wasn't able to tell until there was a leak sometime later and a MUSHROOM grew out of the ceiling. Due to different genetic predispositions, my husband was not affected, only me. Anxiety, guilt, dreams, insomnia, depression, suicidal thoughts - all began within a month of moving there. I would double check your home or living space for water damage as you too may have a susceptibility to mycotoxins in mold.

I'm only recommending you look into this because your healing will be difficult if you are still in a moldy environment. Much love to you friend!!! Stay strong, things DO get better!!!
