Hi Dana, yes it is definately possible to plateau on a water fast. I am currently on day 36 of my fast. I plateaued at around day 10 aswell. I went around 3 days without losing any weight at all. Then on the fourth day I found I was another 2lbs down! The plateau usually signifies the end of your water weight loss. In a couple of days you will likely find that you will lose again, but it won't be at the same rate. It's likely to be 1-2lbs a day. For me it was 1lb consistently every day. Over my 36 day fast so far I have lost 39lbs! Strangely, I had lost 39lbs at day 33, I have actually found that I have plateaud again at day 33. Now what the reason for this is I have no idea, the only thing I can think of is water retention. But I've gone a good 3 days now with no loss. So yo answer your question, yes it is definately possible for your weight to plateau during a fast. In fact around days 10-13 it is considered fairly normal.
