The dermatologist I was sent to see did not seem able to do very much for me. His help was not much better than my GP's. Personally I would not take their word for what you have as gospel, because sometimes they don't always know with real certainty. Sometimes one type of spot simply looks like many other types of spot. So it's sometimes necessary to try to research what might be causing the problem yourself. If you simply wait to see what solutions your doctor can provide, you could be waiting forever.
