Hello everyone,
I have been on a frantic quest to cure my 7month old daughters severe eczema. In this time I have learned a great deal but have come across conflicting information. Hoping some of you could shed some light.
After her doctor insisting her condition is merely a sensitive skin issue, and not an internal allergy, we have eliminated ALL external culprits.
I saw a naturopath, and had an IGG test. I have been on an Elimination diet for 2 months, with minimal progress. I have now switched to AIP Paleo,(NO wheat, eggs, dairy, corn, soy, nightshades, peanuts and tree nuts, farmed fish, sugar) and unfortunately use a 1:1 1% hydrocortisone-Glaxal base prescription for bad flare ups. She uncomfortable it has to be done.
So my confusion lies in what is causing this? Is MY gut a mess and therefore, the inflammation passes to her causing her to react? Is SHE allergic to foods I am consuming? I have heard both scenarios.
I have been eating so very clean, while eliminating the sensitivities from my IGG results. How long should the inflammation take to settle in my system?
If anyone has an insight I will do whatever it takes to have her feeling better!
Thanks for your time.
