I do not know how old this post is, but the worm in your photo is most likely a tape worm, must be treated with praziquantel, brand name Biltricide. Likely will take up to 3 weeks at 25 mg per pound of your weight, 60 mg per kilo, then repeat in 3 weeks. I had several infections for nearly 20 years before an intelligent physician figured it out. Took about 6 months to get rid of it all, with praziquantel, albendazole and ivermectin. In my case, I had strongyloides I got from my adopted daughter from Nepal, the blood fluke I got in Nepal as well and W. bancrofti I got from the Fijian Islands, which your blood has to be tested in the middle of the night to detect the microfilariae as they are only active between the hours of 10 PM and 2 Am, how weird is that!
