the more i know the more i dont know.

teachers such as what you have presented play to self-centerdness. this is a work of the flesh which goes against god. its been an irony to me how self preservation is used by those who proselytize the lord known for preserving nothing of his life.

god is love, it is rightly said. but what is love? first corinthians 13 (my variation of understanding):

love is longsuffering, and is kind; love does not envy; love does not elevate itself, is not puffed up, does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not for itself, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil; rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; it bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. love never fails.

that should be everyones great quest. the one who does these things will never be moved. the one who becomes these things will never pass away.

adding one more thing from a mentor from my youth - love is deliberate.

i hope that helps. i can answer a specific question but i dont see where two hours would be well spent with that. let me know. perhaps point me to a brief section of it.
