I'm in a bit of a situation here. For the last three days, the gum surrounding my wisdom tooth has been inflamed (pericoronitis), causing me immense pain, a fever at times, swelling, and making it hard to even eat. I have literally tried every single remedy I've known (clove oil, tea bags, garlic, salt rinsing, etc.), to no success. If I go to the dentist, they will surely push an Antibiotic on me and recommend I remove the tooth. I have read countless times that obviously, Antibiotic usage is devastating, but that contrary to the norm, even wisdom teeth removal has negative consequences. I know any type of tooth thing can be medically dangerous, but realistically, those outcomes are quite rare. I've been out traveling and have only been back for about 24 hours, so perhaps if I keep doing the methods described above, it will go away? I have heard of folks on Earth Clinic mentioning it can take some time and repeated sessions of natural treatment before the condition resolves, but with not wanting anything more dangerous happening and with needing to work, I'm not sure what to do. Your insight and opinions are appreciated. Thanks!
