I would not leave them alone I would get them manageable so that you do not feel they look bad. There is a lot of misinformation on this board about leaving them alone and moisturising them. It isn't necessary. As I said there is a sequence of things and the most important is removing sources of irritation such as that found in hygiene products. You could in theory leave them alone for years but if you are applying contact irritants they will never heal because you are constantly re-damaging them. Sorry if this goes against some of the other advise on here. Personally, I have done the leave alone/moisture and it did not cure my EC.
