Be very careful when you try and introduce fiber after fasting for so long. You might want to start with an even smaller dose of the psyllium than a teaspoon. While psyllium is not exactly digested, the system does have to "wake up" to some extent to work the gelatinous mass through the intestines. I have no definite answer for you, just start slowly with the fiber. I found that I could only take the Bentonite once a day, although others have it in every shake. I tried that, but it was extremely constipating. Once again, it will take some experimentation on your part to find the right dosage. I usually took the Bentonite in the first shake of the morning. At night I would take a slightly higher dosage of the herbs with the hope they would be doing their magic while I slept. You should work up to three-five shakes a day. You can use the lax tea once in a while if you feel you need it, I strongly recommend you skip the SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) altogether while doing a fiber cleanse.

For me the Colon Cleanse really helped flatten my belly. I went down a pants size with little actual weight loss. I was less bloated and less gassy. I also had a reduction in back pain which was a great blessing for me. I have had pain ranging from mild discomfort to severe everyday for over three years. While the problem is linked to nerve inflammation due to a bulging disk, colon cleansing seemed to help reduce that inflammation. I also credit Liver Flushing and colon cleansing (I was doing both for a long time) with the reduction of frequency and intensity of migraine headaches and relief from menstrual problems.

Once again, remember that the P&B shakes are not a part of the original Master Cleanse protocol. I believe they can complement the cleanse, or they can be done as a separate cleanse altogether. I personally do not believe in continuing the P&B shakes for more than two weeks, but others have done them much longer. Whatever you decide to do, please stay very aware of your body and how it reacts. So many of us want to jump in and get everything cleansed, healed and repaired all at once. Cleansing takes time. Cleansing can also be very stressful on the body. Follow the steps of preparation (usually by cleaning up your diet), the cleanse itself, then a period of rebuilding (again mostly by following a healthy diet), allow your body to rest and recover from the fasts and cleanses before you begin again.
