Hi there! I've had a bartholin cycst now for over 3 years and it can be resolved at home. Although I've had mine drained at the doctors office twice, home remedies have proven to be the best solution for me. I do not recommend squeezing the gland. That can definitely cause further damage. I'm not a physician but I do work in healthcare and I've had extensive conversations with healthcare professionals regarding this type of cycst. What has generally worked for me are a combination of sitz baths, warm compressions and staying active. I workout at least 5 days a week and although it can be painful I've found that continuing to stay active really helps the cyst in coming to a head and eventually draining. Sitting and walking can become very painful but usually when it's at that point it's ready to drain itself. I hope this helps. Take care!
