You are right about this.
But, most likely, it is not just autoimmune response to all the food you ate.

Usually, people react to just a very few food items, like milk, gluten, soy, corn, wheat, peanuts, strawberries, tomatoes, shrimps, etc.

Research the Elimination-Rotation Diet .
What you did was just a first part of that diet, total elimination of all foods.

When your symptoms disappear while eating no food, it is usually a very strong indication that something you eat very often is triggering lips inflammation, death of the outer layer of the lips, and in the end it results in lips peeling.

Unfortunately, you did not go to the phase 2 of the diet and you did not pinpoint exactly what you react to.

The next time you do the fasting on water only, follow the guidelines of the Elimination-Rotation Diet and pinpoint exactly what your dietary triggers are, if any.

Research also subjects like Dysbiosis, Leaky gut (intestinal permeability), Blood Type Diet etc ...

Dysbiosis and Leaky gut (intestinal permeability) are at the root of food intolerance and food allergies .
