Some of them do have tapered ends.
The rolled up tomato skin look it had blood in it when you rolled it out. Plastic like.

The above pics were about 2cm long.

I don't remember being ill at all after Dubai.

I also had some sort of squishy yellow thing that had puss when pressed on
