Hi Jeff,

I would really appreciate your input on this.

I did your Candida plan this fall, but did not get the results I hoped for. Now I'm wondering if it makes sense to try it again.

My issues are in short:

* Extreme bloating and abdominal discomfort. Curiously only on the left side of my abdomen. It feels like it originates just below the rib cage, and extends downwards. There is a lot of gurgling and movement going on there. Like there is a big blob of something sitting there. Maybe it's trapped gas, I don't know. Carbs seems to make it worse.

* Severe intolerance to carbs. High-GI ones gives instant anxiety, restlessness, loss of concentration, elevated heart rate. Lower GI ones gives more of a delayed bloating and discomfort.

* Bad histamine intolerance. Instant ADHD-like effects.

* Poor digestion of fats, and proteins too. Seems I can't handle even just a tablespoon or two of fat.

* I have been passing white-ish stringy things in my stool. Looks like parts of the intestinal lining or some kind of biofilm attached to it has come off. It looks like what some people call "rope worms".

* Insomnia, and a general feeling of being wired all the time, unable to relax.

I think I followed your plan quite well. I may have been restricting carbs too much, as they make me feel so bad. I realize this might not be good, especially long term. Also, I did not try the HCl protocol, because at the time I was diagnosed with gastritis. This has now resolved (apparently it did so on its own, because I never took the prescribed PPI).

Besides Candida, my other main theories are SIBO and/or some parasitic infection. Stool tests for parasites have come back negative two times around. I understand these are often inaccurate, though. As for the "ropes", my gastroenterologist could not tell me what they are, nor could any of his collegues. I also tested negative for SIBO.

Well. I think I better stop there. Thanks for reading this far. In your experience, might it make sense to try your program again? If not, do you have any other ideas?
