Only brush off the dead skin thats loose. It's usually white and should come off easily with a toothbrush if you brush gently. If the skin is attached to your lips, then don't brush it off. Leave that alone don't force anything off. I've noticed that the formation of dead skin stopped (or at least slowed down) around the third day.
