My dog was in severe condition when he was rescued. He was diagnosed with demodex at that time and treated. That was before we adopted him. When I began having problems, I had my vet scrape him, and he scraped positive for demodex. He has been in treatment since December and will go back tomorrow to be re-scraped. Scabies med did not help me.
