Hello all,

This seemed to help at the beginning stages of the cycle, however, it resulted in the same outcome of peeling off again. It did feel really promising, but I don't think this is it.

I do remember that at the same time of my EC starting, the corners of my nose were a little red and itchy. Since then the redness has extended to my upper lip and I feel that maybe I got Seborrheic Dermatitis . The areas that are reddish flake and peel and turn white with water contact... just like my lips. Perhaps my EC is an extension of this dermatitis on my face. It basically behaves in the same exact way!

I know seb dermatitis can be caused by fungus. Interesting thing to note as well is that I had some other fungal problem develop on other places on my body at the same time of the face breaking out. Going to Las Vegas really did a number on me. lol.

So, sorry to hype up this SMILING idea.. but I've moved on and now have more evidence that this may be due to a fungus. I had a dermatologist give me ketoconazole for my face so I'm going to try that. I don't think I'll put it on my lips, seems risky. However, what I WILL do with my lips is use Borax, which has some good reputation for seb dermatitis in the natural health community. I will try washing my lips with borax as an antifungal as well as a mouthwash. If this is truly fungal, then maybe these things will help.

Another shout out to Dee918 on CureZone. This user claims success with the use of borax for their EC.
