Tough to say without knowing exactly how the solution was made; ionic to particulate ratio type thing
That said, my best guess would be that the CS is reacting with the different compositions of saliva throughout your digestive tract. ie, pH changes across the digestive tract could cause the CS to interact and /or undergo reduction, thus causing a change in taste. Another possible explanation is where the CS could interact with something like oral thrush for example, which is known to reside in higher concentrations further back on the tongue toward the throat.
