I wish I could remember, I'm sorry. I only went to this dermatologist once because he did not take insurance. He was very old and old school and this was probably 10 years ago, so not any new meds. It was 2 different drugs: a standard steroid topical and some kind of antifungal topical. My regular pharmacy had the ingredients readily available and were able to compound it while I waited. I didn't have to go to a special compounding pharmacy to get it. I was instructed to keep my mouth as dry as possible, avoid spicy foods and use the cream on the corners of my mouth only about 3x a day. I also used Vaseline when not using the cream, especially before bed. I found keeping a thick layer of Vaseline all over my mouth to really help. Licking your lips or putting water on them made it so much worse. B Complex vitamins also helped a ton as did eating more green veggies and less junk. If you are open to anything I would suggest a good Colon Cleanse and mega-dosing Vitamin C in addition to the other things I mentioned. Coconut oil also has some antifungal properties and makes a good lip balm. If I can figure out which antifungal it was I will follow up.
