Hello Foggy-Notion

Sodium Chlorite (NaClO2) is alkaline and is a precursor to chlorine dioxide.

Sodium Hypochlorite (NaClO) is bleach and a recognized brand is Clorox. It has close to a neutral pH.

Bleach works by chlorination. Chlorine dioxide works by oxidation.
