I have been surfing this forum for a few weeks trying to figure Iodine out. I am still confused. So, hearing about the wonders of iodine, I purchased Detoxadine (Nanscent Iodine) and started taking 3 drops under the tongue daily. That provides 1,950 mcg of iodine. I felt great the first week. Good energy, great mood, sleeping better. Then bloating/edema/weight gain started. Two weeks later I started my period and the weight gain worsened. It is all from my stomach through my upper legs. A good, solid 7-8 lbs--my fat jeans are tight! I no longer feel good, and am not sleeping as good. I have cut down to 1 drop a day and have added Vitamin C, magnesium and a daily vitamin with selenium but the fat/cellulite is still terrible. I am sipping water with Sea Salt today but it almost seems to make the retention worse. I don't understand how such a small dose can cause such a horrid reaction. Someone please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
