I have done exactly what you are about to, which is fast after tooth extraction. Mine was a molar growing inward impacting molar in front of it. I helped very well from fasting 3 days after my molar was removed. But I did not take any medications. I gargeled with warm water and H2O2.

Fasting and taking meds is a worse combination, I would suggest pick one. If you have taken Antibiotics , you will need to replenish your gut flora. Eat Kimchi, Kefir and fermented vegetables everyday.
