Veith - I think I was referring to his accent rather than his name, but at least my Afrikaans hunch was on the button.

As for Futurism v. Preterism, I don't question its dominance. I question the underlying assumption that Historicism and related apocalyptic hermeneutics (such as Hendriksen's Progressive Parallelism) are dead. For one thing, all Finalists fall in the latter camps, and we are far from extinct. Outnumbered maybe, but very much alive & kicking.
