My nasio-Labial (puppet line) have improved with facial exercise. But my first concern has been my rosacea.
My skin has healed so much from being raw. I had really rough texture on my chin. My rosacea looked sore and irritated. (I've had it since I was 13, along with bad acne).
There was a huge difference in color between my face and neck. They looked like they belong to two different people. (I always wore make-up, because of my rosacea).
Now 10.5 months raw, my skin is the creamiest I can remember it ever being.
As my inflammation in my body goes down, my rosacea goes down too.
Now for facial exercise.
I experimented with many exercises. Many made my frown lines between eyes better, but my nasolabial lines worse.
One even gave me bulges on each side of my mouth. It looked monkey-ish.
So if you are doing a facial exercise , I recommend you closely examine pictures of you in your twenties. If the facial exercise starts showing any bulges or contours that you didn't have in your youth, STOP! From my experience, it will only get worse.
Neck and chin exercises improved my nasio-labial lines. My 2 favorite exercises is: kiss the ceiling- kiss really hard with your lips pushing down against each other. And the other is a head sit up. Just like a sit up, but instead of holding your head with your hands, let the neck muscles work!
My lips are fuller and the corners of my mouth are turned up more ( I've always looked a wee bit sulky/grumpy, even as a child, because my lips naturally turn down).
Not only are the actual lines from nose to lip corner improved dramatically, but my upper lip and cheek are more on a level plane. I'm loving it!
