66g of raw frozen undiluted fecal matter from a 4 year old female with no history if illness or antibiotic use was forced through a kitchen strainer, resting on a stainless pot, using a pestle.

The filtered matter accumulated on the underside of the strainer. This was scooped using a stainless steel teaspoon. With the aid of another spoon, the product was transferred into the barrel of a 50ml syringe. (With the plunger removed)

The problem then became getting rid of air bubbles and making sure there was no air gap between the matter and the plunger.

After loading and before replacing the plunger, the top of the syringe was cleaned with alcohol. The opening was sealed securely with gaffa tape then held firmly on the palm of my hand then initially banged hard and fast on to something soft like a pillow or a mattress. Then holding it down on a bench, it was tapped vigorously with a dowel. This worked very well.

The tape was carefully removed. Some fecal matter will stick to it. It's not worth collecting it. The plunger was then carefully inserted and any residue cleaned off. The plunger was pushed until the matter was at the end of the tip.

Luckily, I just happened to have an Eppendorf "Multipette plus" but You can use a standard 60ml (2oz) syringe. The Multipette has the ability to deliver the correct capacity to whatever capsule you have, although syringes are designed to be used with liquids so this function becomes useless unless you dilute the stuff.

Undiluted, it's not easy to force the matter through the syringe with one hand. Using two thumbs, it's quite easy.

Cardboard from a box was cut into 6 X 300mm X 60mm strips. A thin bead of Hot glue was run right around a strip, close to the edge then another strip was placed on top of it. That was set aside and the process repeated. I now had 2 thick double strips and 2 single strips.

A straight line was drawn along the length of a double strip, off centre, then 10 spots were marked equidistant. Pointy tweezers perforated the spots and were forced through while twisting, creating a hole. 5 holes were made to hold 000 capsules. Further along, 5 holes were made to hold 00 capsules. The holes were cleaned up with a razor then the third strip was glued on.

The other double strip had 10 holes large enough to firmly hold 0 size capsules then the final strip was glued to that. I now had 2 X 3 layered strips. These were taped down onto a bench. Capsules were loaded on. The top of each capsule was placed on the strip in front of each capsule.

5 size 0 capsules were fill with fecal matter then an attempt was made to cap the capsules. This was not possible. All 5 were dumped. The DRcaps are so sensitive to moisture that they become too soft to manipulate. They can't be caped unless you complete the process within 5 seconds.

The successful way to accomplish this step is loading the capsule one at a time, quickly, within 5 seconds! After the cap is on, you can relax but put it in the 00 DRcap straight away then into the 000 gel cap.

After 5 capsules were prepared, they were swallowed with water. For those who, like me, have problems swallowing large capsules and getting stuck in the back of your throat. I found a technique that works for me with a minimal or no added water. It feels gross but swish the capsule around your mouth for a few seconds. The capsule becomes very slippery and slides down easily.

Filling the capsules and eating the stuff took 90 minutes and one litre of water. I did that on an empty stomach, which was already growling, along with 2 Betaine capsules.

I started with 66g raw matter, after filtering it was 56.6g then after some losses, the final amount ingested was 46.2g. using 66 zero size capsules and a total of 198 individual capsules.
The fecal matter was 11 g more than I intended, but I didn't want to waste or re-freeze it.

I ate 3 hours later. In the mean time, I was burping a lot but never had a hint of fecal odour. Later that night, my guts became really sore with sharp stabbing pains and had a horrible night sleep.

Next day I felt incredibly tired with sore guts, a little nauseous and a bit of a head ache. That night, my right leg hurt like hell, right through the bone. My guts were fizzing and wheezing. If I got up out of bed I felt like vomiting. It was a horrible night.

The next day I was feeling better. So what is supposed to happen? How long does it take for the new bacteria to bed in? What should a person expect to happen?
