I get what you are saying about dispensationalism.

But what about historical premill? This is the view the early church fathers seemed to believe. That fact keeps stumping me too because shouldn't they have been pretty clear on these things when some were even directly taught by the apostle John himself? They could have asked direct questions about his vision in Revelation, etc.
