I've been on a PPI for about a year now and have also taken sucralfate for ulcer healing. I took it for about 2 months and it is a little difficult to take because it is 4 times a day but honestly, it really helped a lot. I had no side effects from it whatsoever and actually I noticed that about 30 minutes after I took the pill, my pain actually eased a little bit. Sucralfate is a drug that coats the ulcer lining like a buffer from the stomach acid, shielding it so it can heal.
