You might just need another form of copper. For instance, I handle copper gluconate and citrate okay, but glycinate makes me want to throw up. Hubby handles glycinate just fine, though. I always take copper with plenty of water and a meal.
Your TSH is not okay. The closer you get it to 1.0, the better you'll feel. TSH does rise to help production of sodium-iodide symporters (NIS), which are how Iodine gets inside the cell. More Iodine being ingested means more NIS are needed.
However, when you're troubled with worry about a goiter, perhaps your thyroid could use some help. You should be able to feel a goiter with your fingers. Place them on either side of your windpipe close to the notch in your collarbone. Extra tissue there might be a goiter.
I did get a goiter which did not go away no matter how much Iodine I carefully used. It was a blessed relief to start taking thyroid medication and have the goiter leave.
