These are the experts on Iodine supplementation. IMO, ALL thyroid problems are caused by Iodine deficiency.

I suggest that you start on the Dr, Brownstein Iodine Protocol, starting with the co-supplements and then 1 month later begin taking SMALL amounts of iodine, 1 drop of Lugols 5% in a glass of water per week, then slowly titrate up to 50 mg of iodine daily.
