My inflammation and immunology readings as follows:

Calprotein <17 mcg/g

Eosinophil Protein X 0.5 mcg/g

BUT

Fecal secretory IgA 517mcg/g which is on the high end, so this is why they are flagging it. I don't understand why though as it appears to be a transitory reading (snapshot in time).

In otherwords the gut is changing and responding all the time to what we eat. So it is misleading to rely on a secretory IgA reading alone.

There are many sources that suggest higher levels of secretory IgA is healthy and desierable and that low levels warrant more concern:

So there is conflicting information here.

What indicates leaky gut, low or high IgA? I don't get it.
