I think if that were true you wouldn't have so many people optimizing their thyroid function while taking Lugol's with Vitamin C or orange juice. I find it hard to believe that once through the digestive process the body keeps Vitamin C and SSKI together in such a way to thwart the action of thyroperoxidase.
