The potassium Iodide you took was Lugols mixed with vitamin c or SSKI ?

Iodine is dark brown like Lugols and magnascent iodine. If you add vitamin c to Lugols the vitamin c takes out the Iodine that's why it turns clear.

"A buyer asked me why my product was clear, while the SSKI bought from others was yellow or brown. It is because my product is fresh. All pure solutions of Potassium Iodide slowly yellow with age. This is because CO2 and oxygen in the air react to reduce a small amount of elemental iodine. This in no way detracts from the quality. It's still perfectly good. Light, heat and air accelerate the yellowing, which is why I ship in a brown bottle. If your SSKI shows a yellow color, no worries. It has not "gone bad". That trace amount of elemental Iodine won't hurt. In fact, lots of folks use Lugol's which contains 5% elemental iodine. Those who tell you to throw it out I believe are wanting more frequent repeat business. :)

Please note that I can add 2 percent of Vitamin C as an antioxidant. This will prevent the yellowing. If you prefer the addition of the vitamin C, Please message me prior to purchasing, so I know to add the C. "




So I think that if you take lugols mixed with vitamin c then the body cant convert the Iodide to Iodine because of the vitamin c. I think the body has a better chance of converting iodide to iodine if you take sski without any vitamin c. Can you get sski in Germany?
