I think we shouldn't focus much on the cyst. It could well be a trauma "cyst" (not truly a cyst but an accumulation of inflamed cells). The open wound is partly a result of the cyst being too large to allow the skin to reattach, and, firstly--where the infestation was in the ear lobe--once that was cut off, the damn bugs moved to the auricle/conche, which is not a typical residence for them.
I'm still working on getting the infestation out of the auricle and conche.
