Hi People,
I have been reading alot of messages on this forum (and the internet) and thought that'd might have been enough to help myself out. I hope maybe someone can help me out here, since the doctor doesn't give me the closure I need.
For quite some time I had this weird feeling in my throat (as if it got stuck or had some plehgm in it). There is one thing I want to rule out and that's the following (just want to know what it might be): alot of the time (during the day) my throat feels full/stuck and I also hear noise/air escaping and making this rattle like noise. It's just so scary (first I told myself it might just be something in my head).
After some time, I started reading stuff and eventually it led me to Iodine and other supplements. I took nascent Iodine the first couple of weeks and I had alot of mucus coming up (I never had this before), it took me like 2-3 weeks to get the mucus out (wasn't sick during the time).
Some time after that I bought iodoral (12.5 mg) and started using that. No problems so far (as in everything was the same as before). I decided to take Iodine and get some blood tests too, I gradually built it up to 50mg a day (until the blood test) and afterwards I used 12.5mg every 2 days (just to be sure). Today (4 weeks later) I got my blood test results. My TSH level is 7.5 pmol/l whereas it should be between 0.3 - 4.2
Now I'm not really concerned but it's because I have this insane stuck feeling in my throat for quite some time now, and since 2 weeks, it's very very annoying (the feeling in the throat is very heavy, preventing me from sleeping sometimes).
I had a heavy flu/cold that lasted me 2 weeks and I am feeling much better since last thursday, but I still am not 100% optimal (just want to point this out too.)
The most annoying this is that I feel somewhat spacey and can't really focus my eyes on something. I still feel tired sometimes, from day to day. Like sometimes I have this pressure behind my nose-eye area, and the next day I don't.
The optician did some tests and looked at my eyes and told me everything was fine (he said that one of the eyes went down -0.25 but that's it).
BTW: I naturally have some floaters in my eyes (dunno if that's important to tell)
I did some eyepressure test while taking the 50 mg doses back then, it was at 12.
Yesterday I did another eyepressure test (after 2 weeks of 12.5mg every 2 days) and it was 15 in both eyes. Got to another store and it was like 18 in one eye and 13 in the other (so the test is somewhat unreliable but still it's higher then normal)
I also drank like 2-3 tablespoons of ACV (diluted it ofcourse) and I had some eyelid twitches in my left eye. I stopped drinking it so much (maybe it has effect on potassium levels?). It gradually got less, as I got my potassium levels back up by supplementing it.
Long story short, I have all sorts of things. If it's too vague, ask me and I'll try to explain but I really need help on this since it's scaring the sh.t out of me.
I use all sorts of supplements, some since like since 2-3 months) (well below the maximum daily intake):
since 2-3 months:
Magnesium: 400-500 mg a day
Cod Liver oil with vitamin A (3021 IE): 901 ug
and vitamin D (also from the cod liver): 25 ug (1000 ie)
Vitamin C: 1000 mg every other day
Iodoral: 12.5mg (every other day), and first month like 50 mg every day (with selenium approx 250 ug daily)
Niacin: 50 mg every other day
Zinc picolinate: 22mg
Vitamin k2 (mk7): 400 mcg since 7-9 days
Salt pushes from time to time
Good multivitamin from Plantina: it has good sources like b6 comes from P-5-P etc: you find it here with all the dosages: https://www.plantina.nl/multi-240tb.html
Basically I want to have some clarification on the following (if possible):
1) The stuck feeling in the throat with noise/air escaping from it.
2) The spacey feeling and not being able to focus/see well.
3) Sometimes whenever I sleep, I feel this insane pressure on my stomach/like as if it's almost hurting (could it be that this happens because one sleeps on his back???)
Ty so much in advance, like I really can't say how thankful I am for helping me out here. It means alot to me!
Greetings from the Netherlands,
MT
