yes, your mouth is full of bacteria, good and bad. some bacteria once in the bloodstream can cause blood poisoning and also cause infection and inflammation of the heart and other vital organs. you can have endocarditis, myocarditis and pancarditis. the infection can be caused by viruses, bacteria, fungus or other pathogens. the main culprits are bacteria... streptococcus, enterococcus, staphylococcus, steptococcus viridants, etc.
some viruses are responsible too..CMV, EBV,ect.
bacteria can attack (somethimes destroy) the valves and the endothelium cells of the heart. in order to combat the infection you should know what is the name of the pathogen and is it bacteria, virus or fungus. you can treat these nasty pathogens using lauric acid and caprylic acid. these natural fatty acids can destroy the bad bacteria, viruses and fungus. if you are infected with gram-positive bacteria and not alegic to penicilin you can use Penicillin, 4-6 weeks treatment regimen in order to eradicate the nasty bacteria. if it is gram-negative bacteria you can use broad spectrum antibiotic, or Antibiotic able to kill gram-negative bacteria. some treatments can be done at home if the infection is not serious enough, otherwise in hospital setting. sometimes the bacterial infection can cause inflammation of the brain, heart, lungs, muscles, joints, liver, eyes, skin, etc. when you know the name of the pathogen you should test the sensitivity of the pathogen to some of the available Antibiotics in order to know if the antibiotic(s) can kill the bad bacteria. some bacteria can have mutations and can be drug resistant.
