Thank you so much Joe for taking the time to share your knowledge. Its such great support, as one of the problems i have is that my brain has gone to mush. You have explained it very simply - and what i propose to do then, is to try the small doses and just see what kind of effect it has. One clue i had from the past is that when i tried taking lipoid acid in the dose suggested by Berkson quite a while ago, i only did it for a week, and then i stopped because my kidneys started to hurt, but apart from that i felt so much better and my digestive system was so improved. But the kidney pain was concerning, and i guess now in retrospect a sign that what Cutler has cautioned against was happening? Also possibly a sign that i have a mercury problem. Theoretically i guess, if you have little or no mercury in your body (probably a rare beast) then you would be able to tolerate higher doses of ALA and not have to adhere to the half life cycle? I spent hours researching Klinghardts work, only now to find that he has a very cavalier approach. These guys are so convincing! One thing they all seem to agree on though is that heavy metals are a big problem. I am so mentally challenged and at times desperate that i Kling on to things in hope. I can't thank you enough - because its a minefield out there - :)
