5 days is still a huge accomplishment, so don't beat yourself up over this. I would probably just keep going, and not worry so much about counting days since you have to stop on the 13th anyway. I guess technically, this will put you back at day 1, but it really doesn't undo anything you've accomplished up until now. Just get back on track, and forgive yourself.

For the future fasts or cleanses, you will be even more successful because you'll remember this feeling of disappointment and know you don't want to experience it again. The first time I did the Master-Cleanse almost 2 years ago, I quit after day 5 because I wanted food. I didn't eat a lot, but I think I transitioned a little too quickly because I was soooo sick the next day. Horrible pains in my stomach like the worst indigestion pains. The memory of that is what has kept me from giving in to the temptation. I hope you don't have that experience, but do know that if you did dodge that bullet this time, you might not if you eat solids again. So if you are going to break the fast for good, do it gently. Do the orange juice and the veggie broth for a few days before transitioning all the way back to solids and it might allow you to feel better about the whole experience.

Whatever you decide, you did not fail. You've accomplished something that you probably never thought you could do and something a LOT of others could never do. Not eating for 1 day is a really scary thing to wrap your brain around. You did it for 5!!!! That's awesome!
