Threadworms and pinworms are different . Threadworms are from the strongylida family which is the one most associated with your symptoms . Do you worm your dogs monthly ? Are they infected too? Elisa blood tests are pretty accurate but they are known to be unreliable when steroids or albuterol is used . Antigens is what the test looks for but won't be present when immune system is altered by steroids .
