I have looked into that kind of power supply and have concluded that it is overkill and not suitable to the current required to produce high quality ionic silver.
We need 1 milliamp which is far too small of a current to control on the 5 ampere meter.
I suggest using a 30 to 36 volt DC wall wort such as this unit, only $12

Then put a 1 Milliamp Current limiting Diode is series with the plus lead of the power supply and the silver Anode.

Or you can also use a 1 megohm potentiometer instead of the current limiting diode.
Making the generator using a 1 megohm potentiometer. After being adjusted to your power supply, the potentiometer needs no further adjustment.

The results will be as good as any expensive generator. I like either design because they can make any size batch from 1 cup to 5 gallons and any size PPM. Just run it longer to make a higher PPM, and run it longer for large batches. Any 24 hour timer can be used to control automatic shut off. I would not be happy with anything that makes less than 1 gallon batches.
This is the generator I recently bought:
