Maybe the "adrenal fatigue" symptoms you're getting are mainly hypoglycemic and are caused by certain kinds of allergic reactions (at least very mild) to certain foods. Or the food could be difficult to digest or something.

Introduce new food at 12, avoid caffeine, alcohol, excessive gluten at all costs so that you don't become allergic to the new food easily.
