First of all, do NOT buy the TDS meter. Instead get the Hanna PWT meter with calibration fluid. Our on-site genius Esstee gave all the excellent reasons for this, included in my report. And I totally agree with him. Best price direct from Hanna Instruments. BTW) We are lucky to have Esstee at our forum. His research & reports have been 1st class brilliant.
This was an easy decision for me because I look at the COST PER YEAR of operation. If it lasts 10 years, then my cost per year is only $36. As opposed to the cost per year of $12 for an inferior product. Then when I look at free ionic silver for the entire family & friends over 10 years, the decision is a no brainer. My Silvertron Elite has already paid for itself in the 2 gallons of CS that I have already made.
IMO, there is nothing wrong with a fish tank bubbler to stir the water for best price/performance. If it is good enough for Steve Barwick's Silver Edge generator , then it is good enough for me.
I am plenty cheap in other areas of my life, but when it comes to health related items I spare no expense.
Ditto cars, I look for the most reliable car made at the time in Consumer Reports before I buy. After being stung time after time by Detroit Piles of Crappola, I switched to Honda & Toyota, and I am still thrilled. My old 2003 Honda Civic w/130,000 miles is still like new Ditto my 2012 Prius w/45,000 miles. My cost per year of ownership in my Honda Civic is the best EVER compared to my SHITTY Detroit Piles O Smely Junk.
Sometimes the BEST choices may cost more up front, but over the years the payback can be most important of all.
Hope this helps,
Grizz
