Thanks for the feedback about Lanomax. I was planning to use it on my own eyes, because we don't want surgery, nor do we want to wait 1-2 years for human trials of lanosterol. My cataracts are so bad I can hardly go outside at night, because of the glare from the lights, but you will understand that the eye profession is blackmailing us into cataract surgery. Why do I say blackmail? Because Lanomax is not the first successful anti-cataract eye drop. There have been many since 1985, which act against cataract via different pathways, but the eye profession never tested any of them, and got nearly all of them taken off the market. The last notable one was lutein eyedrops, which were successfully used by a cataract surgeon to cure his own cataracts in 2003, but he didn't bother to tell his own patients and went on to do thousands more surgeries. Then, the FDA banned lutein eyedrops. This story has been repeated over and over, I could give you so many more examples. They made damn sure that nothing would compete with the surgery - have the surgery, or else go blind. If that's not blackmail, I don't know what is. Now you understand why we want to use Lanomax. It is really unfortunate that Ventura Labs is not more supportive, and that the eyedrops have sometimes caused irritation in dogs. Now I am not so sure I want to use them myself, but I have little choice unless I give in to this disgusting blackmail. And, the reaction of the eye profession in my locale to the upcoming human clinical trials unsurprisingly mirrors their past policy - "callous disinterest", and "zero engagement".
