Paranoid that I may have used water that was too hot (distilled water enema) by AutoIntox ..... Enema & Colonics Support Forum

Today I had my second distilled water enema and I wanted to try warm water this time instead of room temperature. I read online to not exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit (37 Celsius) because it could cause serious damage.

I did not have a thermometer on hand but I did use my fingers to test how hot the water was. The water was warm but felt slightly uncomfortable to my fingers, so I added a bit more room temperature distilled water and I think it was okay. The water took about 3 minutes to get in and I was able to hold it for about 2 minutes until I had to release. When releasing I saw some blood floating in the toilet along with the stool.

As a test I have a kettle that shows the temperature of the water as it is heating. I used some tap water and stopped the kettle at 37 Celcius (100 Fahrenheit) and poured it into a bowl. Upon testing it with my hand I can confirm that this water was definitely cooler than the water I used in my enema bucket.

Someone please help me understand if I had serious damage to my colon! I also have OCD and this is stressing me out a lot.

About 3 hours after the enema I did release some bulky stool fairly easily but it was dark in color. No blood.
