I read somewhere that the worms can get into your blood, tearing up your blood cells and eating what contains the iron. That could be an explanation why you were craving the meat. If you ever feel this way again, you could take an Iron supplement, (unless you have Hep, in which case your organs may not be able to handle an Iron supplement.)
