Depends on the fermentation. I can show medical research studies that indicate lactic acid bacteria will hinder candida. It is usually sugars or antibacterial properties that are at issue. No, beer isn't goood.
The problem, rocket-fuel-boy, is that you are overgeneralizing. In sauerkraut (fresh, live) there are no sugars or anything for the candida to feed on and TONS of competing lactobacillus, in short, sauerkraut is a worst-case-scenario for candida!
