The body converts L-Glutimine to glutamate. If you do not have sufficient reserves of Taurine in the body you are guaranteed to get sick.

Considering how quickly and easily you were incapacitated you should be taking Taurine on a daily basis even if you are not taking Glutamine.

The lack of Taurine could be an indication of some liver insufficiency. Taurine will help heal the liver.
