OMG. I found magnets stop bird mites from crawling on my body, and is paralyzing and killing many of them! After 2 years of suffering from bird mites on my body, and using everything I could possibly use to try and eradicate them, including the dangerous Abendazole recommended on this site (in which my hair completely fell out and not one bird mite died), I happened to Google and run across a US Patent invention submitted years ago about a University fellow that discovered the use of magnets killed mites off the bees and beehives. He used strips of magnets over the beehives and within a few weeks, there were no mites present. I thought to try it and see if it worked on bird mites! I immediately purchased a twin mattress pad on Amazon that has hundreds of magnets sewn into the pad, and placed this under my fitted sheet. I also bought 4 magnet wrist bands, and 1 magnetic eye mask. Within a few days I noticed I had NO bird mites crawling on me at night. During the day I put a magnet wrist band on each ankle and each wrist, and rearranged the magnetic eye mask to lay on the back of my head. It has been a few months and all the severe crawling's on my hands and feet are gone! I feel very little activity. As well, I notice the mites pop out of my skin often and are dying. It has been the only thing that has truly stopped them! The patent stated that the magnetic field over the bee hive had to be stronger than the earth's magnetic field. So, I used strong magnets.
Warning: Magnets can be good for health, but also overuse or too much magnetic field energy can cause ill health effects. I had to stop wearing the magnetic wrist bands to bed as the combination of magnetic mattress pad and wrist bands was causing me strong heart palpitations, severe headaches and brain fog. Every 4 days I now remove the mattress pad to give my body a break, and leave it off a few days before putting it back on. Each person will have to experiment with the magnets to see how best they will work to eradicate and stop the bird mites for them. Best of luck to all those who try this method! It has been Godsend for me!
