Quick background on me, Im a 29 year old female who has SUFFERED from hyperhidrosis and bromhidrosis since I was 11 or so. I have tried drysol, botox, suction curretage and miradryX2 to get rid of my bromhidrosis but it is still very strong. The suction curretage got rid of my hyperhidrosis permanently now I only have bromhidrosis. I have also tried every deodorant, soap and supplement thats ever existed to get rid of odor but to no avail for permanent relief.
Things that did work for me for a year or so at a time: Drysol (for hyperhidrosis), Mitchum deodorant, Sure deodorant, Ban deodorant, Dry Idea deodorant, and the african black soap DUDU Osun for boob sweat. All of these worked for a year at a time although the soap I still use and continues to kill the boob sweat all day.
The reason I am posting this is I believe my odor is 100% related to my pcos. I know i am testosterone dominant which my endocrinologist has confirmed, I can also tell by lack of periods and hirtuism. Well I am getting fed up of being call 'the smell' at work instead of my actual name so instead of trying to sort out my armpits I am now trying to fix the source of the BO--my hormones that are totally out of whack. I bought progesterone cream yesterday in hopes this may be the answer I am looking for. I think my body is not producing enough progesterone (partly because I dont ovulate. Im not on the pill and i have taken opk daily and they are all negative which suggests low progesterone) and its producing way too much testosterone. My endocrinologist said hormones being all over the place can cause Body Odor which is why it can happen to pregnant women or post partum women, not to mention women with pcos. If you do decide to get some cream be sure its all natural. I am going to start the progesterone cream today, you apply some in the morning and some at night and its absorbed through blood stream. I wont post the brand name i got but ill say its from South Africa, im not recommending it im just saying thats the kind I got.
I wasnt able to find any good info on pcos women curing Body Odor through progesterone which is why I wanted to make this post and ask if it has helped anyone else. I will report back the results, hopefully Ill have good news. if anyone else has personal experiences with progesterone cream curing Body Odor I would love to hear it!
