There are risks to taking iodine, and I have fully documented these risks here:

These risks are rare because Dr. Brownstein recommends that co-supplements be taken with iodine. MOST IMPORTANT is selenium. Taking Iodine without selenium is asking for trouble.

NEVER take Iodine without taking all of the co-supplements.
